Privacy Policy

Effective date: November 7, 2026
1. About This Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Facevo: AI Health Monitor ("Facevo" or the "App") handles information when you use its camera-based wellness estimates, health records, trends, reminders and report export features. The App is provided by Hunan Shenkong Zhitong Technology Co., Ltd, a company registered in China ("we", "us" or "our").
Facevo currently works primarily on your device. You do not need to create an account. The App does not provide an operator-managed health-data cloud, cloud backup or cross-device synchronization. Your camera images, measurement records and personal profile are not sent to our servers by the App.
Please read this policy before using the relevant features. Reading this policy or continuing to use the App does not, by itself, constitute consent to every form of personal-information processing. Any consent required by applicable law must relate to the specific processing concerned.
Facevo is a personal wellness and recordkeeping tool. Camera-based estimates have not been clinically validated and are not intended for medical diagnosis, treatment or emergency monitoring.
2. Information Processed by Facevo
2.1 Information You Choose to Enter
Personal profile. You may enter your age, sex, height and weight. These fields are optional, are saved on your device and can be changed or cleared. They are not required for camera-based heart-rate estimation.
Manual health records. If you use the recording features, the App stores blood-glucose readings, the selected unit, measurement time and measurement context, such as before or after a meal. It also stores manually entered systolic and diastolic blood-pressure readings and their measurement times. These readings come from your entries, not from the camera.
Reminders and preferences. The App stores reminder times and enabled states, unit and language preferences, and settings needed to remember your choices and onboarding state.
2.2 Camera Images and Derived Health Information
When you choose to activate a camera measurement and grant camera permission, the App accesses a live image stream and analyzes changes in color in the central facial area to estimate your pulse. The camera is also used to display the preview and help you align your face.
Raw camera images are processed temporarily in device memory. Facevo does not save photographs or video recordings of these images or upload them. The App does not use the image stream to identify you, create facial identity templates or authenticate an account. Audio recording is disabled.
A successful measurement creates a local record that may include the measurement time, estimated heart rate, sampling and signal-quality information, and approximately the final 10 seconds of a normalized pulse waveform. Where separate signal-quality checks succeed, the record may also include heart-rate variability measurements such as SDNN and RMSSD, a pulse-derived stress index, heartbeat or interval counts, and estimated respiratory rate with associated quality information. The App does not create missing values simply because a heart-rate result is available.
Derived measurements and pulse waveforms are health-related information and may qualify as sensitive personal information under applicable law. Not retaining a facial image does not mean that the resulting health record is non-personal. These records are stored on your device for history, trends and reports.
2.3 Information You Send When Contacting Us
If you contact us directly, we receive the email address or other contact details you use and the information or attachments you voluntarily provide. Please include only what is needed to explain your request. Using the App does not automatically send us your local health records.
2.4 Advertising, Tracking and Identifiers
The current App does not include advertising or analytics SDKs, advertising cookies, account login, payments or subscriptions. Facevo does not intentionally collect advertising IDs, IMEI numbers, MAC addresses, precise location, contacts or microphone recordings. The App does not send health information to an external AI service or use it to train an external AI model.
3. Why Information Is Processed
Facevo processes information for the feature you choose to use:
- To generate camera-based estimates and show measurement quality and results.
- To save and display your profile and manually entered health records.
- To show measurement history, trends and summaries from your local records.
- To schedule the local reminders you enable and remember your preferences.
- To generate a PDF containing the dates and metrics you select and open the system sharing interface.
- To respond to a support or privacy request if you contact us.
These purposes do not authorize unrelated advertising, sale of health information or automatic upload of your health history. Where applicable law requires a legal basis or separate consent for sensitive information, that requirement applies to the relevant processing; a system permission alone is not a substitute for every legally required consent.
4. Device Permissions and Your Choices
Camera. Camera permission enables the preview and live image stream used for measurement. You can decline or revoke it in your device settings. Without it, camera-based measurements are unavailable; manual records and other features that do not need the camera remain available.
Notifications. On supported Android versions, the App requests notification permission for reminders you choose to enable. New installations start with reminders disabled. You can turn reminders off in the App or revoke notification permission in device settings. Delivery also depends on system settings and battery-management restrictions.
Restart handling. Android's restart capability allows the App to restore reminders after a device restart or App update. It does not enable continuous camera monitoring.
Report sharing. The App generates a PDF locally and uses the operating system's sharing interface. You choose the receiving application or destination. Facevo does not require unrestricted access to your photo library or files to perform camera measurements.
5. Sharing and Third-Party Services
We do not sell, rent or share your local health records for advertising. The current App does not automatically disclose those records to us, advertisers, analytics providers or external health or AI services.
Applications you choose for sharing. If you share a report, the receiving application, service or person obtains the PDF and any accompanying message. That recipient may store, forward or upload the information under its own policies. Facevo cannot retrieve or erase a report after it has been saved or shared outside the App.
Device and platform services. Your operating system handles permissions, notifications, app storage and sharing. Device backup or transfer services may handle app data according to your device settings and the platform provider's policies. Facevo does not operate those services or offer its own cloud backup.
Direct correspondence and legal requirements. If we hold information you sent us directly, we may disclose only the information necessary where required by applicable law or a valid legal process. This does not give us remote access to records that exist only on your device.
6. Storage, Retention and Deletion
Local storage. Your profile, health records, derived pulse waveform and reminders are stored in the App's local data area. Raw camera images and intermediate color samples are used temporarily for the current measurement and are not retained as image or video files.
Retention. Saved records generally remain until you delete them or clear the App's data. Facevo does not currently impose an automatic expiry period for your saved health history. Older records retained for compatibility may remain in local storage even when they are excluded from current displays and reports.
Camera records. You can delete an individual valid camera measurement from its history controls. Deleting it also removes its stored waveform from that measurement archive. The "Clear measurement records" control in the profile or settings area removes the local camera-measurement archive, including older retained scan records.
Other information. Clearing camera measurements does not also erase your manual blood-pressure records, blood-glucose records, profile or reminders. Use the corresponding edit, clear or delete controls for those items. You can clear the App's data in your operating system settings to remove its local application data.
Exported reports. Report generation writes a PDF to the App's temporary directory. Temporary files may remain until the operating system or App-data cleanup removes them; Facevo does not promise immediate deletion after sharing. Copies saved elsewhere or shared with others must be deleted at those destinations. Deleting a measurement does not automatically delete an already generated report.
Backups and correspondence. Clearing local App data does not necessarily erase copies retained by device backups or external recipients. Manage those copies through the relevant service. Information you send us directly is kept only as needed to address the request or meet applicable legal requirements.
7. Information Security
Facevo limits exposure of health information by performing measurements and recordkeeping locally and by not uploading raw camera images. The operating system provides application isolation and device-level security according to your device's configuration.
The current App does not add its own encryption to locally stored health records or exported PDFs. Protection therefore depends in part on your device security and on how you handle shared files. No storage method, transmission method or device can be guaranteed completely secure.
Use a device passcode, keep the operating system updated and share reports only with recipients you choose. Reminder notifications and shared files may be visible to others depending on your device and recipient settings.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to access and obtain a copy of your personal information, correct it, request deletion, restrict or object to certain processing, withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, and complain to the relevant data-protection authority.
For information stored only on your device, the App's viewing, editing, deletion and export controls provide the main way to exercise those choices. PDF export covers supported health metrics and is not a complete machine-readable export of every App preference. You can revoke device permissions to stop the corresponding future access; revocation does not itself delete existing records.
If you need assistance or want to exercise rights concerning information we received directly, contact us using Section 12. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify and address your request, and will respond within the period required by applicable law. We cannot remotely retrieve, change or erase information that the App has never transmitted to us.
9. Children's Information
Facevo is a general personal-wellness tool and is not directed at children. It does not provide a dedicated child account or parental-consent system. Do not use the App to submit another person's health information unless you have the appropriate authority and any required consent.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child's information has been entered on a device, use the local deletion controls or clear the App's data. If a child's personal information has been sent directly to us, contact us so that we can review the situation and take the steps required by applicable law.
10. International Processing
Facevo does not automatically transfer your locally stored health records to an operator-managed overseas server. However, device backup services, applications you select for sharing, and direct correspondence may involve providers or recipients in other countries.
The location and handling of information by those services depend on their infrastructure, your choices and their policies. Local storage should not be understood as a guarantee that information can never leave your device: a backup or report you share may do so.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the App, its information practices or applicable law. An updated version will show a revised "Last updated" date. Where applicable law requires notice or renewed consent for a change, we will provide that notice or obtain the required consent before the relevant new processing begins.
A policy update does not, by itself, authorize a new health-data upload, advertising use or other processing for which separate consent is required.
