Terms of Use
Last updated: November 7, 2026
Effective date: November 7, 2026
1. Who We Are and How These Terms Apply
These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern your use of Facevo: AI Health Monitor ("Facevo" or the "App"), provided by Hunan Shenkong Zhitong Technology Co., Ltd, a company registered in China ("we", "us" or "our"). Our registered address and contact details appear in Section 17.
Please read these Terms before using the App. By accepting these Terms and using the App, you agree to follow them. If you do not agree, you should not use the App. Nothing in these Terms removes rights that applicable law does not permit you to waive.
If you use the App on behalf of an organization, you must have authority to accept these Terms for that organization. This does not authorize you to enter, measure or share someone else's personal or health information without the appropriate authority and consent.
2. Eligibility and License to Use the App
You must have the legal capacity required to enter this agreement under the law that applies to you. Facevo is a general personal-wellness tool and is not directed at children. It does not provide a dedicated child account or parental-consent system. Where applicable law requires a parent or guardian's consent or supervision, those requirements must be met.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the App for your personal, lawful wellness tracking and recordkeeping. You may not sell, sublicense or commercially distribute the App without our permission. This license does not transfer ownership of the App or its intellectual property to you.
Your use may also be subject to the applicable app-store and operating-system terms. Mandatory rights under applicable law take precedence over conflicting contractual restrictions.
3. What Facevo Provides
Facevo's current features support:
- Camera-based estimates of heart rate and, where signal-quality checks permit, supported pulse-derived metrics and respiratory-rate estimates.
- Optional personal-profile information and manually entered blood-glucose and blood-pressure records.
- Local measurement history, trends and summaries based on available records.
- Local reminders you choose to enable.
- Locally generated PDF reports for selected dates and supported metrics, shared through your device's system interface.
Available functions depend on your App version, device capabilities, permissions and the quality of the input. A metric shown in a selection or history interface does not mean that the camera can measure it. The current App does not require account registration or provide operator-managed cloud backup or cross-device synchronization.
4. Important Health and Measurement Limitations
Facevo is a wellness and recordkeeping tool. It does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, prescriptions or emergency monitoring. Its camera-based estimates have not been clinically validated. The App's name, charts, reference ranges, summaries and exported reports do not establish medical accuracy or make the App a substitute for professional medical care.
Camera-based estimates can be affected by lighting, movement, face alignment, camera quality, device performance and other conditions. A successful reading is an estimate, and signal-quality checks cannot guarantee accuracy. Unsupported or unreliable metrics may be unavailable. A missing result does not mean that your health is normal, and a displayed result does not rule out a medical condition.
Pulse waveforms and pulse-derived variability metrics are not an electrocardiogram and must not be used to diagnose heart rhythm disorders. A stress index is a wellness estimate, not a diagnosis of a psychological or medical condition. Estimated respiratory rate is not a clinical respiratory assessment.
Blood-pressure and blood-glucose readings are manually entered records. They are not measurements made by the camera. Use an appropriate measurement device and follow its instructions before entering readings into Facevo.
Do not use the App as the sole basis for starting, stopping or changing medication, treatment, exercise or another decision requiring professional medical advice. If you have symptoms, concerns or unexpected readings, consult a qualified healthcare professional. In an emergency, contact local emergency services immediately rather than waiting for an App measurement.
5. Your Responsibilities and Device Permissions
You are responsible for using the App according to its instructions, keeping your device reasonably secure and entering information carefully. Confirm the units, measurement time and context of manual records. Do not enter another person's information or perform a measurement on them without the authority and consent required by applicable law.
Camera permission is required for camera-based measurements. You can decline or revoke it in device settings, in which case those measurements will be unavailable. Features that do not require the camera remain subject to their own requirements.
Notifications are used for reminders you enable. Reminder delivery depends on permissions, operating-system scheduling, battery settings and device availability. Reminders are not a medical alert system and should not be relied upon as the only reminder for medication, treatment or another safety-critical activity.
You may incur ordinary mobile-data or platform charges when using external services, contacting support or sharing a report. Those charges are governed by your arrangements with the relevant provider.
6. Local Records, Export and Deletion
The App stores health records and preferences primarily on your device. Raw camera images are used temporarily for the measurement and are not saved or uploaded by Facevo. Successful measurements may save derived health information and a short pulse waveform as described in the Privacy Policy.
The current App does not add its own encryption to local health records or exported PDFs. Device security, operating-system backup settings and your sharing choices affect the protection of that information.
You can delete supported individual records and use the relevant clearing controls. "Clear measurement records" removes the local camera-measurement archive; it does not also remove manual blood-pressure records, blood-glucose records, profile information or reminders. Those items must be managed separately, or you can clear local App data through your operating system.
Export creates a PDF locally and opens the system sharing interface. Check the selected dates, metrics, destination and recipient before sharing. The receiving application or recipient may store, forward or upload the file under its own policies. Deleting a record in Facevo does not delete a previously generated, saved or shared PDF, and Facevo cannot withdraw reports from external recipients.
Clearing App data, changing devices, uninstalling or losing access to a device may make local records unavailable. We do not provide an operator-managed copy from which to restore them. Exported reports are summaries of selected information and are not a complete App backup. Device or platform backups, if any, operate under that provider's settings and policies.
7. Privacy and Personal Information
The Facevo Privacy Policy explains the information processed by the App, its purposes, storage, sharing choices and your privacy rights. Read it together with these Terms.
Accepting these Terms does not, by itself, constitute consent to every form of personal-information processing. Any legally required consent, including separate consent for sensitive information, must relate to the relevant processing. A device permission is not a substitute for every consent required by applicable law.
8. Acceptable Use
You must not use the App to:
- Violate applicable law or infringe another person's privacy, intellectual-property or other legal rights.
- Measure, enter or share another person's health information without appropriate authority and any required consent.
- Present App estimates as a professional diagnosis, claim that they are clinically certified without evidence, or alter a report to mislead another person about its source or reliability.
- Distribute malware, disrupt the App or a related system, bypass access controls, or access another person's device or information without authorization.
- Copy, redistribute, sell or sublicense the App or its protected materials beyond the permission granted by these Terms or applicable law.
- Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the App where prohibited by applicable law, subject to any statutory exceptions or applicable open-source license rights.
- Impersonate another person or our company, submit fraudulent requests, or encourage others to engage in prohibited conduct.
The current App does not provide a public posting or social-content platform. These Terms do not give us automatic remote access to, or a general right to monitor, edit or delete, records stored only on your device.
9. Intellectual Property and Your Records
The App's software, branding, designs and other protected materials belong to us or their respective licensors. Except for the license in Section 2 and rights provided by law or an applicable third-party license, no ownership or intellectual-property rights are transferred to you.
Third-party and open-source components remain subject to their applicable license terms. Those terms prevail where they grant rights that a restriction in these Terms would otherwise limit.
You retain your rights in information you enter and records concerning you. We do not claim ownership of your health information. The App processes that information to provide the local features you request, subject to the Privacy Policy; these Terms do not grant permission to sell your health information or upload it for unrelated purposes.
If you believe the App infringes your rights, contact us with enough information to identify the material and explain your claim. Avoid sending unrelated personal or health information.
10. Platforms and External Recipients
Operating systems and distribution platforms provide services such as installation, updates, permissions, notifications and device backups. Applications and recipients you choose for report sharing may process the shared file separately. We do not operate those services, and their own terms and privacy policies apply to their handling of information.
Availability and behavior of those services may affect your use of Facevo. These Terms do not make another provider a party to this agreement or reduce any statutory rights you may have against that provider or us.
11. Payments and Subscriptions
The current App does not include in-app purchases, paid subscriptions or automatic-renewal billing. Accepting these Terms does not create a subscription or authorize a payment.
If paid features are introduced, their prices, billing periods, renewal conditions and applicable cancellation or refund information must be disclosed before a purchase. Any future purchase would require your separate action and acceptance of the applicable purchase terms.
12. Updates, Availability and Ending Use
We may release updates to improve the App, address problems or comply with applicable requirements. Features may change, and compatibility depends on your device and operating system. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, support for every device, or indefinite availability of every feature. Changes remain subject to applicable law and any commitments we have expressly made to you.
You may stop using the App at any time. To remove local information, use the deletion or App-data controls described in Section 6 and the Privacy Policy. Simply stopping use does not erase existing records or externally shared reports.
If you materially violate these Terms, we may take lawful, proportionate steps to protect our rights and any services we operate, including ending your license where permitted by law. This does not mean that the current App has an account-suspension system or that we can remotely erase local records. Provisions intended by their nature to survive ending use, including intellectual-property and dispute provisions, continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
13. Warranties and Service Limitations
We will meet obligations imposed on us by applicable law. Subject to those obligations and any express commitments we make, the App is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that estimates will be accurate, that every signal will produce a reading, that the App will detect a condition, or that use will achieve a particular health outcome.
We do not guarantee that software will be free of every error or compatible with every environment. These limitations do not replace the health limitations in Section 4 or exclude guarantees and remedies that the law requires us to provide.
14. Liability
Responsibility for loss or damage arising from the App or these Terms is determined under applicable law. To the extent the law permits, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses caused by misuse contrary to these Terms, unauthorized modifications, or services or recipients outside our control.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. This includes applicable liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, personal injury or non-waivable consumer rights. The health limitations and statements about external services do not excuse us from obligations that the law places on us.
15. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, subject to mandatory laws and consumer protections that apply to you. This choice of law does not deprive you of protections that applicable law does not allow you to waive.
If a dispute arises, you may contact us to seek a resolution. You are not required to give up a right to complain to a regulator or seek a legal remedy. If a dispute is not resolved, it may be brought before a court with jurisdiction under applicable law. These Terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or an exclusive forum that overrides your statutory rights.
16. Changes and General Provisions
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the App or applicable requirements. Updated Terms will show a revised "Last updated" date. We will provide notice and obtain any acceptance required by applicable law before a material change takes effect. A revision to these Terms does not itself authorize a new payment or personal-information use requiring separate consent.
If a provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. A delay in enforcing a right does not, by itself, waive that right. These Terms govern App use together with any specific terms you separately accept, while the Privacy Policy describes personal-information handling.
